Roles & Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical low voltage systems, high voltage systems, communications systems, and low current systems in compliance with project requirements and local authority regulations.
Ensure all electrical system designs meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
Stay up to date with the latest technologies, devices, and criteria related to electrical systems through market research.
Determine the requirements of systems, equipment, and criteria to ensure effective electrical systems are in place.
Prepare documentation, including standards, plans, and specifications, for electrical systems of projects.
Coordinate and communicate technically with other project team members to fully understand electrical system requirements and needs.
Conduct meetings with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other parties involved in electrical requirements and systems.
Prepare electrical Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on detailed drawings and standards.
Develop electrical specifications with a focus on quality and safety.
Submit electrical drawings and attend meetings to obtain approvals from local authorities (ADDC, ETISALAT, Civil Defense, etc.).
Perform site inspections to ensure the efficient implementation of electrical systems during the construction phase.
Prepare comprehensive electrical blueprints with detailed information.
Supervise contractor progress, quality, and work inspections, preparing daily and weekly reports for management.
Lead or engage internal and external teams to coordinate between trades on-site and resolve technical issues.
Review shop drawings and submittals, advise the line manager on changes, variations, issues, estimates, and solutions.
Take initiative on work fronts and work independently as required.
Ensure compliance with the company's Quality, Environment, Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Perform other adhoc activities as needed.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5-7 years of working experience in a similar role.
Supervision experience with a consultant office in UAE is mandidatory
