We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team and support the smooth functioning of electrical systems within the airport terminal.
Position Overview: The Electrical Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the airport terminal. This includes but is not limited to lighting, power distribution, communication systems, and other related infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, including wiring, circuits, and electrical components.
Install and upgrade electrical systems, fixtures, and components as needed.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Collaborate with other maintenance and operations staff to ensure seamless terminal operations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Respond to emergency electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry advancements and best practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in electrical technology is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in an airport or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and communication systems.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and airport personnel.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and heights.
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
