Electronics Technician – Energy Storage Systems (ESS)

- Assemble battery modules and racks according to schematics, ensuring precise cell-to-cell interconnects and thermal management placement.
- Perform capacity testing, cycle testing, and cell balancing using specialized battery analyzers and load banks.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot Battery Management Systems (BMS), including firmware updates and communication protocols (CAN bus, Modbus).
- Execute safe Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and utilize Insulated Tools for all high-voltage DC interventions.
- Inspect and maintain liquid or air-cooling systems integrated into battery enclosures.
- Perform root-cause analysis on degraded or failed battery packs, including identifying 'hot spots' or insulation resistance faults.
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit analyzers to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate logs of work performed, including inspection reports, material usage, and system blueprints.
- Recommend and implement equipment upgrades to improve energy efficiency and performance.
- Install, test, and maintain energy storage systems and related electronic components.
- Diagnose and repair faults in battery management systems (BMS), inverters, and control circuits.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Assist in system commissioning and performance validation.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
