Job Summary: NOV field engineers are responsible to perform the field jobs for NOV Downhole tools as part of customer's drilling and intervention operations in drilling rigs or in sites running with coiled tubing units. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Attend pre-job meetings/discussions within the team or with the client for job planning • Report to the office with activity updates for the complete job duration • Make-up and lay-down NOV tools in the BHA • Perform surface function test for the tools before running in hole • Monitor and control the run parameters within the recommended ranges • Optimize the runs results • Conduct required troubleshooting to solve any functioning issues • Gather the run field data after performing the runs • Submit post-job report covering all run details • Update the runs tracking sheets • Support technical team with office work tasks
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:
• Bachelor (Petroleum/ Mechanical/Electrical) engineering degree holders • 2 to 5 years of related experience • Medium- Advanced English language level • Basic knowledge of oil and gas drilling/intervention operations • Capable to work for extended time during the operation • Ready to cover callout/short notice field visits • Strong technical presentation/technical discussion skills • Technical report writing • Rig Site Safety certifications • Work under high pressure • Holds valid driving license and capable to drive in off-road / remote locations
