The position holder is responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy-duty vehicles like trailers, buses & cranes. The core activity involves diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs to keep vehicles running smoothly
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Test and inspect vehicles to determine the extent and nature of repairs needed.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems.
• Perform repairs according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Provide accurate estimates of repair costs and timelines.
• Keep records of all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
• Ensure that all work performed meets quality and safety standards.
• Keep up to date with advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Follow the Health & Safety guidelines in performing any activity in the workshop.
