· Greet guests as they enter, and put them on a waiting list as necessary.
· Provide menu to guests and answer any initial questions.
· Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls.
· take table reservations and effectively control the flow of guests in the restaurant ensuring maximum turnover.
· knowledge of the operation philosophy of the restaurants, and to be able to explain these to the enquiring guests.
· Having knowledge about the food and drink menu which makes it easier to sell our products and service our guests.
· Ensure that the host desk and the surrounding areas are always kept clean and well organized.
· Ensure that a sufficient number of menus are available at all times and are in proper condition.
· Receive guest feedback and monitor guest satisfaction.
· maintain and update the restaurant guest history file.
· Perform other tasks that might be assigned from time to time.
