Roles & Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the organization's server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
Monitor server performance, ensuring optimal uptime, reliability, and responsiveness.
Troubleshoot server-related issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute server-related projects and initiatives.
Implement security measures to safeguard server systems and data, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Provide support for virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V, to ensure efficient resource utilization.
Maintain and update server documentation, including hardware configurations, software licenses, and network diagrams.
Assist in the design and implementation of IT networking solutions, including LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations.
Manage network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure smooth communication and data flow.
Diagnose and resolve network issues, implementing best practices to enhance network performance and reliability.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure effective delivery of IT services and solutions.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in server technologies and IT networking.
Train and mentor junior IT staff members, sharing expertise and promoting knowledge growth within the team.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4-6 years of proven experience in IT operations with a focus on server management and IT networking.
Strong proficiency in server administration, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in configuring and managing network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) for optimal performance.
Familiarity with security protocols and measures to protect server systems and data.
Relevant professional certifications, such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, are advantageous.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a team and with stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of IT operations within the UAE context is preferred.
