The Lead IT Technician / Lead Technical Assistant is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, including telecommunications systems, computer networks, audio-visual equipment, and video conferencing systems. The role involves supervising technical operations, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and ensuring that all IT and AV systems operate efficiently and reliably.
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems.
Manage and support telecommunications and communication systems.
Install and maintain audio-visual (AV) equipment, including projectors, microphones, sound systems, and display screens.
Configure and support video conferencing and collaboration systems.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT-related issues.
Perform preventive maintenance and repair of IT equipment and workshop tools.
Monitor system performance and ensure network security and reliability.
Assist in IT infrastructure upgrades, installations, and system integration.
Maintain technical documentation and inventory of IT equipment.
Support users and provide technical training or guidance when needed.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance and upgrades.
