•Act as Client Representative liaising with Architects, MEP Consultants, and government bodies.
• Select and recommend to management Architects & Consultants for development projects, negotiate consultancy charges, prepare agreements.
• Review plans and specifications prepared, make changes as necessary, obtain cost estimates, review and value-engineer as required and obtain management approval.
• Review tenders and recommendation from Consultants and Quantity surveyors, negotiate and finalize award of work to Contractors, prepare agreements and monitor to achieve completion on time and within budget.
• Provide leadership and management of Facilities engineering, Biomedical engineering, Facility Safety & Environmental Services.
• Prepare hospital wide operational and capital budget in line with current and future needs.
• Manage procurement of entire capital budget. Arrange proposals from various vendors for capex purchases, discuss with departmental heads on clinical evaluation of capex purchases, carry out technical and technological assessment on these proposals. Prepare a comparative statement on cost and technology and issue purchase order or establish procurement contract.
