Role Purpose-
Operational and Maintenance of SFM Passive Network Infrastructure
Responsibilities-
Network Systems Delivery
Deliver expert installation, maintenance, and repair of UTP, FOC, multi-core cabling, and LAN cabling solutions.
Conduct regular maintenance and repair on existing cabling systems to maintain optimal network performance.
Utilize various tools, equipment, and materials effectively for different network cabling installations and troubleshooting.
Perform thorough site inspections and create detailed reports and BOQs for new installations and maintenance tasks.
Manage the inventory of network components, ensuring the availability of necessary materials and equipment for installations and repairs.
Design and implement network cabling overlays for events, such as SFM Sports events.
Collaborate effectively with team members, ensuring clear communication about project progress and challenges.
Prepare and update the network drawings and patching matrix.
Patching and Mounting of Active devices, patch management and providing remote support.
Communication/ Documentation
Ability to communicate technical information concisely to clients and colleagues, including non-technical stakeholders.
Proficient in creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation, site inspection reports, BOQs, and troubleshooting records.
Ability to manage inventory and generate network performance reports, maintaining accurate records of activities.
Collaborate effectively within a team, communicating progress and challenges.
Qualification-
8 years in IT Support and handling customers. 2-3 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry.
Education:
Bachelor’s Engineering degree in Computer Science/Electronics & Communication Science
Professional IT certification (e.g. Certified Information System Auditor, CISA, etc.)
Required Skillset:
Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing UTP, FOC, multi-core, and LAN cabling solutions.
Mounting and patching the active devices over the passive network.
Skilled in using various Passive Network tools and equipment such as cable testers, crimpers, fluke testers etc.
Capability to design network cabling layouts, including event-specific installations.
Able to perform the site inspection and provide the report with BOQ.
