Position: Sales Manager / Sales Representative – Freight Forwarding

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced sales professional from the freight forwarding industry to drive business growth and expand the client base. The role involves identifying and converting new customers, developing key accounts, and providing tailored logistics solutions (air and sea freight, import/export) in line with the company’s service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect, identify and prioritise potential clients for freight forwarding and logistics services (air and sea, import/export).
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and margin targets.
Generate new business through cold calls, client meetings, referrals and market intelligence.
Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, consignees, freight forwarders and other stakeholders.
Understand client requirements and offer customised logistics solutions in coordination with operations and pricing teams.
Negotiate rates, contracts and credit terms to maximise profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Monitor market developments, competitor activities, trade lanes and industry trends.
Coordinate with internal departments (operations, documentation, finance) to ensure smooth execution of shipments and customer service.
Prepare regular sales reports, pipeline updates and forecasts using CRM/tools.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field (preferred).
Proven experience in sales within the freight forwarding/logistics industry is mandatory.
Strong understanding of ocean and/or air freight operations, import/export procedures and INCOTERMS.
Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and building a client portfolio.
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
Self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable with field/client-facing sales.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CRM software is an advantage.
Prior GCC / Saudi Arabia experience in freight forwarding sales is a must.
