Job Purpose:

  • Develop & Implement an Integrated Project Planning System.
  • Develop & Implement Project Progress Monitoring & Reporting System.
  • Develop & Implement Project Controls Procedures & Processes.
  • Drive and co-ordinate the aims of project delivery on all projects to ensure key dates are met
  • Keep track of progress and ensure that all projects are on time and on budget
  • Provide advice and support on the development of specific planning systems

Key Accountabilities - Senior Manager - Planning:

  • Develop and maintain an updated integrated master schedule for all projects in coordination with all Development Directors/business units
  • Assist various business units in developing and updating their master schedule and program expenditure report (Cash Flow).
  • Review with all business units all key & interface milestone/activities that need to be included in their projects for inclusion in the master program.
  • Coordinate with all department projects to ensure that the integrated master program includes all key milestones & activities required at project level to perform the delivery of the project scope. And prepare various presentations and progress reports.
  • Coordinate and meet with individual business units/Development Directors to ensure that progress of milestone/activities is in compliance with the baseline master schedule.
  • Provide the required updated schedule information to be submitted to the concerned Authorities as and when required e.g. DEWA, Etisalat, etc
  • Provide recommendations to business units and Development Directors on corrective actions when their project performance or results deviate from the agreed baseline master program.
  • Assist the business units/Development Directors in compiling the monthly progress report which is submitted by the planning department to the executive management.
  • Assist finance in compiling the monthly finance report (MFR) for key internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain & develop program control system (PCS) and ensure all data is correct and updated.
  • Review and control the consultants and sub-consultants baseline schedule, milestone activities and team activities that need to be included in the master plan program. Ensure to update the activity or milestone biweekly for management review.
  • Provide consultants progress reports weekly.
  • Prepare and develop appropriate detail summary for development control schedules.
  • Coordinate and assist the budget team in preparation of the program to reflect the stages against the budget.
  • Coordinate with the project team to include the construction timeline in the master plan for the project delivery cycle.
  • Review and study the project procedure and timeline.
  • Review with all business units the development procedures (lifetime) for the projects to improve the efficiency of the development stages.
  • Highlight any risk or delays.
