Roles & Responsibilities POSITION - SAFETY OFFICERPROJECT - MANAGING THE WAREHOUSE OF AN OIL AND GAS MAJORLOCATION - QATAR JOB DESCRIPTION Roles & Responsibilities We are looking to hire a qualified and competent safety officer with complete NEBOSH AND IOSH who will be responsible for the health and safety of staff in the workplace. The safety officer will compile safety programs and standardize them to remain consistent and share best practice techniques at regular staff meetings at the assigned location. Safety Officer Responsibilities: Compile safety programs. Practice safe working techniques. Implement and maintain health and safety standards. Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees. Maintain compliance with all safety regulations. Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques. Standardize health and safety to remain consistent. Identify hazardous waste and dispose of it correctly. Promote safety initiatives. Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance. Document staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management. Regularly inspect equipment. Desired Candidate Profile ➢ Bachelors in commerce / Business Administration / Higher national diploma (HND) or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized professional institution or an equivalent Educational Qualification approved by Head of Warehouse. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering will be an advantage. ➢ A bachelors degree or an associate degree. Or Diploma ➢ With Complete NEBOSH and IOSH ➢ Registration as a Health and Safety Officer. ➢ Strong communication skills. ➢ Minimum of 3 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. ➢ At least 2 years of working experience in GCC or Middle East countries (preferable). ➢ Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
