MISSION:Responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems during a complex EPC Offshore project in the Oil & Gas sector.TASKS:Develop and design HVAC systems for Offshore facilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and Qatargas requirements.Perform detailed engineering calculations, including heat load calculations, duct sizing, and equipment selection.Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for HVAC systems.Manage HVAC engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design to commissioning and handover.Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure the integration and compatibility of HVAC systems with other project components.Monitor project progress, manage schedules, and ensure timely delivery of HVAC engineering deliverables.Ensure all HVAC engineering activities comply with Qatargas standards, industry regulations, and company policies.Conduct quality assurance and quality control checks on HVAC systems and installations.Implement risk management strategies to identify, mitigate, and manage project risks related to HVAC systems.Develop technical specifications and scope of work for HVAC equipment and materials procurement.Evaluate vendor proposals, perform technical bid evaluations, and participate in vendor selection processes.Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of HVAC equipment and materials.Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems in offshore facilities.Provide technical support and guidance during the commissioning and startup phases.Develop maintenance plans and procedures for HVAC systems to ensure their long-term reliability and performance.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.15+ years of experience in HVAC engineering within the Oil & Gas sector, specifically in EPC/EPCI Offshore projects.Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, equipment, and systems.Significant experience with Qatargas standards and requirements.Fluent level of English, written and spoken.OTHER DETAILS:Job Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE;Contract Duration: 6 months (extendable);Starting Date: August 2024.
