The Warehouse Incharge is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. This role involves managing warehouse staff, maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring safety compliance, and optimizing warehouse operations. The role also includes vendor management responsibilities, such as liaising with suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement and delivery. Key Responsibilities:Warehouse Operations:Oversee and coordinate all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and dispatch.Ensure the warehouse layout and operations support optimal efficiency.Monitor and maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and organization.Operate and maintain warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.Inventory Management:Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records .Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.Vendor Management & Procurement Coordination:Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and goods.Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to optimize cost and quality.Evaluate vendor performance and suggest improvements or changes where necessary.Ensure vendor compliance with company standards and contract terms.Team Supervision:Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff to ensure high performance.Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and maintain discipline.Safety and Compliance:Implement and monitor safety procedures in accordance with company and legal standards.Conduct regular safety inspections and trainings.Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and internal policies.Reporting & Documentation:Prepare reports on stock levels, goods movement, vendor performance, and operational KPIs.Maintain documentation for audits, shipments, and inventory. Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory systems.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
