Job Purpose

Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA) is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and

beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and providing exceptional customer

service to students, faculty, and visitors. The Barista will play a vital role in enhancing the overall

experience at the academy’s café.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coffee and Beverage Preparation:

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.), tea, artisan

and speciality beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.

Create specialty drinks and seasonal beverages.

Ensure the consistency and quality of all beverages served.

Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.

Take orders accurately and efficiently. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.

Café Maintenance:

Maintain a clean and organised work area, including coffee machines, countertops, and

service and seating areas.

Follow health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.

Regularly clean and sanitise equipment and utensils.

Inventory Management:

Monitor stock levels of inventory and other supplies.

Assist in ordering and restocking inventory as needed.

Track usage and report any discrepancies
