Job Purpose:
The BDM is primarily responsible to identify ways of business and revenue growth through various alternate revenue opportunities and execution of the plans in line with organizational goals. The BDM focuses on researching, planning, and implementing new business opportunity plans targeting new market initiatives.
Responsibilities :
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain, customer satisfaction & retention.
- Own the P&L responsibilities for new business opportunities including Revenue and margin targets.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential clients (new business accounts, new channels of business) and markets (geographical / market expansion) for business expansion.
- Identify internal strengths of the organization and plan to launch new business verticals to capitalize on our existing capabilities.
- Propose market penetration plans and strategies to the management team for signoff and convert the plans into action for revenue growth and profitability.
- Create project plans for new business opportunities / revenue streams including set up plan, cost / investment, timelines, breakeven analysis (end to end project management plan).
- Carve out a sales strategy for penetrating the new channels of business (Online, Corporate / Institution, Retails, Franchise, etc.) and for that matter any out of home segment that we are not available currently.
- In conjunction with Marketing team, finalize brand building and business development plans through promotions and other online / offline marketing activities.
- Generate leads through various channels, including networking events and online research.
- Work closely with other departments for smooth operations and achievement of business numbers.
- Develop staff within the organization to be valuable salespeople across verticals and transfer of revenue channel for business continuity and sustainability.
