Job Purpose: The Import/Export Specialist will be responsible for managing and facilitating the import of plants from various countries into the UAE, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Coordinate the import of plants/ other materials from various countries, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and international trade agreements. • Manage relationships with suppliers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to streamline the import process. • Prepare and submit all necessary documentation for customs clearance and compliance, including phytosanitary certificates and import permits. • Stay updated on local and international regulations regarding the import and export of plants/ other materials, including any changes in legislation. • Conduct risk assessments and implement procedures to mitigate compliance risks. • Analyze market trends and identify potential new sources for plant imports and export opportunities. • Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions and prepare regular reports for management. • Ensure all records are compliant with regulatory requirements. • Perform any other duties assigned by manager.

Qualifications • Bachelors in Commerce

Minimum years of experience • 5 years of similar experience

Skills and Competencies • Good communication in English, Arabic will be an added advantage. • Good Analytical skills • Team Player • Presentation • Report Preparation
