Position Overview:
Arabian Engineering Centre is seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Structural/Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and supervising infrastructure and structural systems for various civil engineering projects including roads, bridges, drainage systems, utilities, and building structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop structural and infrastructure designs in compliance with local codes (ADM, DOT, etc.) and international standards.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Perform structural analysis using tools like STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, and Civil 3D.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, MEP engineers, and site supervisors.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and provide technical support during construction.
- Review contractor submissions and respond to RFIs in a timely manner.
- Ensure designs are cost-effective, durable, and sustainable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure and/or structural projects in the UAE or GCC region.
- Strong knowledge of local authority regulations (e.g., ADM, ADDC, DOT).
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, ETABS, and Revit.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.
- UAE Society of Engineers membership and/or ADQCC registration preferred.
