Role Purpose

Ensure contractual entitlements or pursue and maximize that positive cash flow is maintained and that contractual risk/matters are recognized, flagged, and resolved in a timely manner.

  • · Review the tender documents and provide suitable commercial qualifications to the estimation team for inclusion in our bids
  • · Review the LOI / LOA/ Contracts and negotiate with the main contractor/Clients for suitable amendments in favor of the organization.
  • · Ensure timely submission of bank guarantees and insurance
  • · Coordinate with the procurement team for suitable amendments to specialized subcontract agreements.
  • · Administer contracts to protect the organization’s interests in terms of managing risk and claims
  • · Prepare and submit claims as per contract requirements.
  • · Commercial management i.e. timely collection of payment, timely approval of variations, ensuring minimal variance between application v/s certification. (Maintain health relations with all stakeholders)
  • · Review and approve variation budgets as per internal process.
  • · Prepare monthly commercial reports
  • · Subcontract management: Negotiate with them for claims, and variations to avoid any impact on the project.
  • · Review and submit contractual correspondences to protect and secure our contractual entitlements
  • · Coordinate with the team with effective risk management and mitigation.
  • · Coordinate with the team for cost control measures.
  • · Validate the cost-to-come provided by the team
  • · Obtain taking over certificates and final acceptance certificates.
  • · Negotiate and conclude final accounts with main contractor/clients/subcontractors
  • · Timely retrieval of bank guarantees
  • · Project Documentation is in order
  • · Identify and notify the management of any potential disputes.
  • · Mentor and train the team
  • · Manage the commercial team and take over tasks as assigned by the management.
