Role Summary
The Commissioning Manager will oversee and lead the commissioning phase of an onshore gas compression project, ensuring systems are tested, integrated, and operational in accordance with project requirements, timelines, and safety standards. The role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration with engineering, construction, and operational teams to deliver a fully operational facility.
1. Commissioning Planning and Coordination o Develop and manage the commissioning plan, schedules, and procedures for all systems related to the gas compression facility. o Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams to ensure alignment on commissioning requirements. o Establish clear handover protocols and ensure smooth transitions from construction to commissioning.
2. Execution and Supervision o Lead the commissioning activities for all systems, including compression units, piping, electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems. o Oversee system checks, loop testing, functional testing, and performance validation to ensure operational readiness.
o Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during commissioning, working closely with relevant teams.
3. Team Leadership and Training o Build, manage, and mentor a multidisciplinary commissioning team, including subcontractors and vendors.
o Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to operations staB for eBective handover and facility operation.
4. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) o Ensure compliance with all HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory standards during commissioning activities.
o Promote a safety-first culture and address any potential risks proactively.
5. Documentation and Reporting o Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning records, including test reports, punch lists, and handover certificates.
o Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting milestones, challenges, and solutions.
1. Stakeholder Communication
o Collaborate with clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities to ensure commissioning meets contractual and statutory obligations. o Manage expectations and maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders.
