As a Senior Lawyer, you will be pivotal in managing our legal affairs, safeguarding the company's reputation, and ensuring compliance across all aspects of our operations.

Your expertise will be crucial in handling legal issues that are critical to the production, distribution, and marketing of our products.

Daily operations will require your experience in negotiating, drafting and managing distribution contracts, as well as managing all aspects of intellectual property related to the mobile phone and consumer electronics industry. You will apply a thorough knowledge of intellectual property laws, licensing and contract management, particularly in the context of the UAE and international markets. You will work closely with Senior management team to strategize and implement effective legal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Negotiation and Management:

· Manage the negotiation, drafting and execution of distribution agreements with a focus on the mobile phone and consumer electronics sector.

· Manage the life cycle of distribution contracts, including renewals, amendments and terminations.

· Ensure all contracts comply with local and international laws.

· Liaise with internal stakeholders including legal, sales and procurement to ensure contract terms are in line with company policies and business objectives.

2. Intellectual Property Management:

· Oversee the protection and enforcement of the company's intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks and copyrights.

· Manage intellectual property-related contracts, including licensing agreements, technology transfers and joint ventures.

· Advise on intellectual property risks and compliance during contract negotiations and business transactions, including international markets.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

· Monitor legislative changes and advise the company on the need to amend contracts and intellectual property management strategies.

· Ensure compliance with international trade regulations that may impact distribution agreements.

4. International Experience:

· Use in-depth knowledge of international markets, particularly UAE, to guide contract negotiations and intellectual property management strategies.

· Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in international markets, including manufacturers, distributors and regulators.

5. Risk Management and Dispute Resolution:

· Lead the contract dispute resolution and intellectual property conflict resolution process, including negotiations and resolution processes.

· Lead litigation and legal disputes involving the company, coordinating with external counsel as necessary.

· Oversee the work of outside counsel and manage the legal budget effectively.

6. Collaboration and Communication:

· Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure contract and intellectual property strategies are aligned with business goals.

· Communicate effectively with external partners, including manufacturers, distributors, and legal, to ensure smooth contract and intellectual property management.

· Support corporate governance and business ethics initiatives.

· Stay abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its operations globally.
