About the Role:
The Data Analytics Specialist is responsible for the conceptualization, design, implementation and delivery of Business Intelligence programme to support the company in data management and reports/dashboards development for decision making process to enable information transparency and data quality supporting Sukoon business departments like Distribution, Actuarial, Finance, Marketing, Underwriting, Reinsurance, Operations, Audit, etc across systems and organizational boundaries.
Accountabilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ETLs and cubes design and development, data access, data integration, data visualization, text mining, data discovery, database design and implementation.
- Responsibilities will include gathering requirements, provide support for gaining business consensus, deliver solutions, training and documentation, continue the development of the Data Lakehouse, Enterprise Data Warehouse, and Analytical Toolset.
- Responsible for writing documentation to describe functional specification and technical realization.
- Responsible for the implementation of considered, effective and robust solutions for integration with current ET systems.
- Understand the business requirements and support business processes relating to Information Management.
- Provide support for BI & other IT projects and work with across IT team and user community to ensure smooth implementation.
- Consolidates Data from legacy systems and exposes them to business for consumption and analysis.
- Identification of opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.
- Any related activity or task deemed necessary to ensure operational department success
- Develop data and information integration standards for project development, data modelling and documentation that are maintained as data environment evolves.
- Work closely with business teams to translate analytic business requirements into data designs to support business outcomes.
- Strong team collaboration across Business / IT / 3rd Party Partners
- Work with internal IT Teams and Third-Party Partners to design and implement data integrations to support business requirements
- Participate in troubleshooting software application issues related to BI Area.
- Strive for the root cause fix of defects and provide best in class solutions for said issues at all times.
- Identify and report any risks / issues that might result into delay of review and impact overall progress.
Solutions Assessment:
- Provide Solutions assessment as per department policies and procedures within agreed SLAs;
- Add risks identified as part of solution assessment process into centralized list of risks;
- Provide possible mitigation measures for each risks added to the Risk register
- Ensure that all the risks and mitigation measures are properly documented and communicated to the respective owners;
Rich background in Information Management, Data Lakes / Warehousing technologies, preferably in Insurance domain covering General Insurance (Consumer and Commercial Lines), Medical Insurance (Group and Individual) and Life Insurance (Group, Individual, Investment Products)
Working experience in Insurance ecosystem covering the various supporting functions will be bonus:

Minimum Requirements
- Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high-pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.

- Ability to interact and effectively communicate with end users so as to accurately extract the core requirements of any modification.
- Experience in multidimensional data modelling, such as star schemas, snowflake, normalized and de-normalized models, handling “slow-changing” dimensions/attributes.
- Extensive experience providing practical direction on information and analytics platforms in conjunction with EDW tools and technologies.
- Solid experience with Data Warehouse and BI systems; extensive experience for collecting business requirements from customers, and transform the requirements into DB data processes and data schema.
- Very Strong Business Skills in Insurance domain.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
- Willingness to work out of office hours when required.
- Good oral and written English communication skills.
