We are seeking a reliable and skilled Demi Chef to support daily kitchen operations. This role will be responsible for food preparation, maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth workflow during service. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
What will you be doing? • Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes and standards. • Assist with daily food preparation, cutting, mixing, cooking, and portioning. • Ensure all dishes are presented consistently with proper portion control. • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation at all times. • Follow HACCP and food safety guidelines, ensuring safe handling and storage of ingredients. • Label, store, and rotate ingredients properly (FIFO). • Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages in advance. • Assist in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries to ensure freshness and quality. • Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunction. • Reduce food waste by following preparation guidelines and efficient portioning. • Maintain cleanliness of utensils, equipment, and kitchen surfaces. • Support the team during service to ensure smooth, timely order preparation.
