Roles & Responsibilities
Liaise with other departments to request for surgeries, imaging (CT, MRI), blood tests, audiology and speech language therapy.
• Responsible to interact with other hospitals for patient referrals and gather the relevant documents for continuity of care such as scans, tests that are completed, anesthetic notes and past surgical details.
• Liaise with the Business Development team to ensure that the referring doctors are paid for every referral made.
• Ensure that the ENT doctors’ Rota/scheduling is created for optimum yield and maximum efficiency in the clinic.
• Design letter templates for all standard procedures such as CT and MRI requests.
• Run quality checks on invoices for accurate coding and timely payment.
• Send thank you letters to the Insurance companies for every successful closure on payments.
• Ensure that the ENT records and folders are up-to date at all times.
• Maintain a log/ Masterfile (an excel spreadsheet) to track the status of patients.
• Attend team meetings as requested and take notes.
• Complete any other administrative duties as requested by the ENT staff.
• Communicate appropriately and clearly to coworkers and other members of the multidisciplinary team. • Dress appropriately to the expectations of the specific work areas and the dress code policy.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information in accordance with the policy.
• Understand and adhere to emergency preparedness, fire safety and code policies/plans.
• Report shortfall of supplies and any missing items to the Head of ENT.
