The Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role involves handling accounts payable, reconciling financial data, preparing reports, and assisting with audits. The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to streamline financial processes and support overall business.
Responsibilities and Duties
Reconcile general ledger and workshop data, ensuring accuracy in postings.
Manage daily accounts payable (A/P) processes, including vendor and supplier relations, invoice processing, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos, and payment transactions.
Handle vendor correspondence via phone and email.
Maintain petty cash accounts and log all outgoing disbursements.
Verify and attach supporting documentation to incoming invoices and purchase orders.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices and purchase orders.
Prepare batch check runs and wire transfers.
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and closings.
Reconcile various accounts by identifying errors and applying appropriate accounting standards.
Process remittance information from checks, drafts, and wire transfers, ensuring proper disposition of funds.
Research and resolve routine internal and external inquiries regarding account status and discrepancies.
Maintain and organize accounting documents, records, and reports.
Support the Accounting Department with additional tasks as required.
Conduct bank reconciliations and participate in year-end audit processes
