a)Responsible for managing the HSE aspects of the contract to ensure that ‘Goal Zero’ is met

within the CONTRACTOR’s area of responsibility.

b) Must have more than 15 years’ experience in maintenance work in the Petrochemical,

Petroleum Refining or Power generation industry.

c) Minimum 5 years in HSE Management position.

d) Must be able to work with computers utilising Microsoft Windows and Office suite of

packages.

e) Must have a diploma or equivalent professional HSE Management qualification.

f) Must be capable of managing and executing HSE audits, site, procedures and HSE Plan.

G)Must be capable of producing the relevant HSE related procedures and guidelines and to

actively pursue all staff to adhere to the defined HSE Standards.

h) Must be capable of training the staff in HSE topics relevant to Turnaround, i.e. HSE Induction,

Working at Height, Scaffolding, Confined Space, Road Safety Driving and Basic Fire Fighting as

a minimum.

i) Must be capable of obtaining, interpreting and reporting HSE statistics.

j) Must be able to read, write and speak English (IELTS 8 Equivalent) and should be able to

communicate effectively with the majority of manpower.

k) Able to support in the development of JSA/JHS of engineering tasks as required.

l) COMPANY has 5W’s incident investigation for low/medium risk FIM reports and CAUSAL

LEARNING for medium/ high risk FIM reports. HSE Manager must be able to lead any CAUSAL

LEARNING investigation. NB. COMPANY will supply the facilitator.
