The Internal Auditor will be responsible for evaluating and reviewing our financial and operational processes to ensure compliance with legal guidelines, tax compliance, industry standards, and company policies. The successful applicant must be analytical, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills to work collaboratively with different departments within the organisation. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for detecting potential fraud, discrepancies, and inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvements.
Job Description
- Develop and implement audit plans to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance.
- Conducting internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of financial controls, risk management systems and operational processes.
- Perform audits of financial statements, accounts, records, agreements, and supporting documents, identifying potential inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and irregularities.
- Monitor and manage receivables as per company policies.
- Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance with applicable federal and tax regulations.
- Identify the financial risk of the organisation and offer recommendations to reduce risk.
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings and improve profitability.
- Assessing and ensuring the company’s compliance with applicable laws, tax regulations and company policies in the country.
- Identify and investigate potentially fraudulent activities or financial irregularities.
- Coordinate with external auditors during statutory audits and regulatory compliance assessments.
- Conduct meetings, review documentation, and communicate with stakeholders to gather essential information required for analysis. Coordinate with all team members to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Providing management with accurate and timely reports on audit findings, including recommendations for improvement.
