1. Complete ability in performing pile design works including design calculations and design reports.
2. Ability to prepare comprehensive method statements for execution of pile works.
3. Preparation of work programs using planning software such as Primavera & Microsoft Project.
4. Shall be directly responsible for piling works execution at construction site in interaction with the Team Leader & project stakeholders
5. Manage site piling issues and ensure the day to day operational control of contracts carried out to the correct work procedures
6. Liaising with site teams to ensure that piling works run efficiently focusing on, safety, quality, and productivity and cost control
7. Carry out resource planning
8. Report to the Team Leader on a day to day basis regarding the progress of works
9. Be the Consultant’s nodal officer on field and liaise with stakeholders’ executive engineers and other representatives, in terms of clearances and getting any other required approvals.
10. Apply Project Management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard in a timely manner
11. Write complex planning reports and undertake peer reviews of reports written by internal staff and sub-consultants
12. Must be able to manage own time effectively and priorities tasks.
13. Strictly adhere to SMEC’s Business Management System (BMS), Quality Management System (QMS) and OH&S procedures.
14. Follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine the location and depth of piles, as well as the required driving force and method.
15. Inspect and prepare the work area, ensuring adequate stability for the equipment.
16. Collaborate with the construction team to ensure proper coordination and sequencing of pile driving activities.
17. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
18. Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices related to pile driving techniques and equipment.
19. Maintain accurate logs and reports
