Stantec is currently looking for a Project Manager to oversee the project scope of work as directed by Client.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
•The Project Manager will oversee the scope of work directed by Client to ensure the design consultant(s) are delivering to the client’s requirements. This is Client support role and the candidate will act as the ‘bridge’ between the Client Project Team and the Stantec Design Delivery team.
•Become familiar with the requirements of all design, supervision, construction contracts, and project team relevant engaged to the Project.
•Attend coordination and progress meetings on behalf of Client. Act as the point of contact for activities with all relevant parties on the project.
•Compile and review technical reports for submission.
•Collaborate with all disciplines to ensure the work is fully coordinated across the project and monitoring delivery programme.
•Facilitate the technical review of all design submissions and complete a review of related sub consultant submittals and liaise with Client internal teams for expedient completion of same
•Ensure all Stantec’s contractual liabilities such as quality control of construction and prompt responses for all construction documents relevant to the discipline are adhered to.
•Attend and record design team meetings on behalf of Client team, primarily focusing in technical coordination and documentation, team communication, and interaction between site and design teams.
•Oversee and reporting on the performance of sub consultants, ensuring that quality control procedures and requirements are respectfully implemented relevant to their discipline.
•When necessary and in agreement, attend off site inspections of materials.
•Oversee and manage completion, closeout, and handover activities, including Authority submissions, verification of completed works, and final project documentation records. Ensure full compliance to conditions of contracts relevant to their discipline.
• Liaison with necessary Authorities when needed.
•Work closely with Construction Manager to ensure that site activities are in compliance with Architectural intent and documentation.
Person Specifications and Qualifications:
•BEng/BArch minimum in Architecture or Relevant Engineering Field
•Minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience from an Architectural background, or related engineering discipline, which includes managing a multi faceted campus design.
•Minimum of 7 years UAE experience, preferably with International Consultancy
•Experience in managing projects over 250 million AED construction cost
•Ideally trained/registered with UK/US/Australia/Canada Architecture or Engineering related professional body – RIBA, AIA, ICE, CIBSE, IEE etc.
•Full Competency in Revit/Navisworks is preferable and any candidate without this skillset must be willing to undertake training or further develop this skillset to ensure multi-disciplinary design proposals can be reviewed in the BIM environment.
•Preferably from a Top Tier, Multi-disciplinary Design Consultancy Background
•Proven Project Delivery history in Middle East in a similar role/capacity
•Excellent Communication Skill both Verbally and in Written Format.
