Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager with a strong background in catering or food service procurement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of food, beverages, kitchen supplies, and equipment while ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for all catering-related items.
Source and negotiate with reliable vendors and suppliers.
Maintain accurate inventory records and forecast purchasing needs.
Ensure all purchases comply with health and safety regulations.
Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier performance.
Work closely with kitchen staff and operations to understand and fulfill their needs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Purchase Manager in the catering, hospitality, or food service industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Solid knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience working with large-scale catering operations or hospitality chains.
