· Responsible for direct implementation of all QA/QC activities related to Welding (Pipeline & Piping) in the project.

· Knowledge in preparation of QCP and ITP for Pipeline welding activities and On Plot piping welding activities.

· Knowledge in preparation of preliminary welding procedure specification for Pipeline welding and On Plot Piping welding in accordance with relevant codes and standards.

· Relevant background to conduct Welding Procedure Qualification Test and Welder Qualification Test for Onshore Pipeline welding and On Plot Piping welding in accordance with codes and standards.

· Knowledge in Preparation of WPS & Supporting WPQR documents for Onshore Pipeline welding and Piping welding in accordance with project specifications, relevant codes and standards.

· Familiar in Weld Joint Fit up Inspection (Onshore Pipeline and On Plot Piping) and ensure proper root gap, root face, bevel angle verification in accordance with approved WPS requirements.

· Familiar in Onshore Pipeline welding and On Plot Piping In-process welding inspection such as preheat, interpass temperature, interpass cleaning and welding parameter verification like current, voltage, travel speed, heat input, etc. in accordance with approved WPS & WPQR requirements.

· Relevant background to conduct Weld Visual inspections and ensure completed weld joints are acceptable in accordance with approved WPS and specification requirements.

· Responsible to prepare weld Visual inspection reports and ensure that all inspection reports are properly documented in relevant pipe book and weld history sheet and maintained.

· Knowledge in preparation and maintain calibration register of all QC Inspection instruments and ensure that same shall have valid calibration prior to utilization at site inspections.

· Experience in Pipeline welding activities like mainline welding, back end welding, Tie-In welding, repair welding, etc.

· Experience in preparation of WPS & PQR register and Qualified Welder list / register and same shall be updated regularly.

· Experience in conducting daily tool box meeting with Welders and ensure Welding / welder performance shall be maintained less than 2 % repair rate inline with specification requirements.

· Familiar in preparation and maintaining welding performance report and Welder performance reports as part of Project Quality Plan and approved QCP implementation.

· Relevant background to check proper storage, handling and baking of electrodes as per the applicable specification, procedures and manufacturer recommendations.

· Knowledge in radiography film interpretations in accordance with applicable codes and standards like API 1104, ISO 13847, ASME B31.3, ASME SEC VIII Division 1, etc.

· Knowledge in interpretation of Radiography film density and Image Quality Indicator (IQI) and Geometric unsharpness values as per approved procedure and standards.

· Knowledge in witness of mechanical testing & corrosion tests for Welding procedure qualification test and welder qualification tests of Onshore Pipeline welding, On Plot Piping welding like Tensile test, Bend test, Nick break test, Charpy Impact test, Macro & Micro examination, hardness test, All Weld Tensile test, SSCC, HIC, SOHIC, CTOD, intergranular corrosion tests in accordance with ASTM G48, ASTM G 28, ASTM A 262 practice E, etc.

· Experience / familiar with Pipeline and On Plot Piping standards such as API, ISO, ASTM, ASME, etc. used in oil and gas industries. Familiar with SHELL DEP, ADNOC Onshore specifications are an added advantage.

· Experience in Review of drawings & Specification, inspection of piping materials, identification as per ISO drawings & material take off before start of fabrication activities.

· Familiar in preparation of Pipe book and weld history sheet in accordance with project requirement and same shall be updated on daily basis after completion of relevant inspection / activities at site.

· Knowledge in all NDT activities like UT, MT and PT and further evaluation of discontinuities during inspections at site.

· Familiar in preparation of NDT request after completion / acceptance of weld visual inspection and coordination with NDT sub-contractors for timely completion.

· Familiar in Preparation of Pipeline Hydro Test package, On Plot Piping pressure test packages and coordination with CLIENT for timely review and approval in order to release the same for Hydro test / Pressure Test activities.

· Familiar in Understanding of Pipeline Alignment Sheets, GAD, Isometric Drawings &, Scope of inspections & Material requirement details in the project.
