1. Developing and implementing comprehensive Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans, outlining inspection and testing protocols, acceptance criteria, and compliance standards;
2. Leading a team of QA/QC inspectors, engineers, and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations;
3. Perform quality checks and inspections as per inspection and test plan for a particular project.
4. Supervising inspectors, technicians, and other staff members and providing guidance.
5. Coordinating closely with project managers, and engineers to ensure seamless project execution;
6. Overseeing all inspection and testing activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements;
7. Conducting regular audits to verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations;
8. Implementing a robust non-conformance management system to identify, document, and address deviations from quality standards;
9. Conducting root cause analysis and recommending corrective and preventive actions;
10. Assist or coordinate with external and internal auditors and inspectors as per requirement.
11. Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines.
12. Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis.
13. Maintain record of quality incidents, lesson learnt and associated corrective action and make sure the information is disseminated across all project teams and related functions.
14. Solicit feedback from client to assess whether their requirements are met.
15. Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives.
16. Providing regular updates on QA/QC activities and results;
17. Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and relevant industry codes and standards in all QA/QC activities;
18. Promoting a culture of safety awareness and best practices within the QA/QC team;
19. PQP implementation and internal as well as subcontractor’s audit scheduling.
20. Exposure / Knowledge in Onshore Pipeline construction, On Plot Piping, Flow line / Trunk line Construction, Well Head Tie-Ins, Tank Fabrication Projects, etc.
21. Relevant background / Inspection experience in welding (Pipeline & Piping), Pipeline Field Joint coating application (3LPP, 3LPE, FBE, U/G coating, painting), NDT inspection and other construction activities / inspections related to Civil, E & I discipline.
22. Good experience in inspection and testing activities related to procedure qualification test, Applicator Qualification test of 3LPE, 3LPP, 2LFBE, External line pipe coating, A/G Painting and Coating activities, etc.
23. Experience / Knowledge in implementation of lesson learnt process in the project and ensure that same nonconformity / lessons shall not be repeated throughout project lifecycle.
24. Maintain record of quality incidents, lesson learnt and associated corrective action and make sure the information is disseminated across all project teams and related functions.
25. Charing weekly QA/QC meeting with Client representative and project management review meetings. Attending Pre-order and Post Order discussions with vendors includes various Technical Queries and technical clarification meetings.
26. Experience / fully familiar with codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, ISO, etc. used in oil and gas industries. Familiar with SHELL DEP, ADNOC Onshore specifications are an added advantage.
27. Experience to manage all inspections in the project and manage a team of QC inspectors (Welding, Painting / Coating, Civil, E& I) for day to day activities in the project.
28. Overseeing all inspection and testing activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
29. Interfacing with clients during the inspection phase, facilitating inspections, acceptance procedures, and handover processes.
30. Leading efforts to identify areas for process improvement and optimization of QA/QC procedures, contributing to enhanced project quality and efficiency.
31. Knowledge in Conducting Welding procedure Qualification & Welder Qualifications for Oil & Gas Projects (Pipeline, Piping, Well Head Tie-ins, etc.) in accordance with applicable Codes and Standards.
32. Conducting regular audits to verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations.
33. Monitor the performance of Inspectors assigned for inspection activities.
34. Familiar with MAR, Stock material, MR requirements.
35. Shall be a Strong personality and leadership skills.
36. Must be fluent in English.
