- Assess, monitor, and record patient’s symptoms and changes in their conditions
- Develop or contribute to patient care plans based on their needs and diagnoses
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Educate patients and their families on how to manage illnesses or injuries, explaining post-treatment home care needs
- Provide emotional support and mental health care to patients and their families
- Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare professionals for creating and evaluating customized care plans
- Perform diagnostic tests and analyze results to guide patient care
- Ensure the safe and efficient use of medical equipment
- Monitor and ensure the proper documentation of patient’s health status
- Supervise and train less experienced nurses or healthcare support staff
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with healthcare procedures and regulations
