Job Summary:
The Retail Distribution Head is responsible for overseeing and managing the retail distribution network to ensure optimal product availability, timely delivery, and efficient operations. The role requires a strategic leader who can drive distribution strategies, build strong relationships with retail partners, and optimize the supply chain to meet customer demands while maintaining profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement the retail distribution strategy to align with the company’s overall business objectives.
Identify new opportunities and channels to expand the distribution network.
2. Operations Management:
Ensure timely delivery and availability of products across all retail outlets.
Optimize inventory management and minimize stock-outs or overstocking.
Oversee logistics and supply chain operations for efficient movement of goods.
3. Team Leadership:
Lead, train, and mentor the distribution and operations team.
Set clear performance objectives and regularly review progress.
4. Partner Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, distributors, and logistics providers.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms for the company.
5. Performance Monitoring:
Analyze distribution metrics, sales performance, and market trends.
Provide regular reports to senior management and suggest improvements.
6. Cost Optimization:
Monitor distribution budgets and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
7. Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements related to distribution and logistics.
Mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions.
8. Sales Strategy and targets:
1. Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth through the retail distribution network.
2. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and markets to expand customer base.
3. Ensure sales targets are met or exceeded through effective sales management and support.
9. Marketing and Customer relations -
1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
2. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.

10. Technology Integration:
1. Leverage technology to enhance distribution efficiency and accuracy.
2. Implement innovative solutions to improve logistics and supply chain operations.
11. Supermarket Supervision
1. Track sales performance and assist with meeting store targets.
2. Achieve store profitability target.
Key Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in retail distribution, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in supply chain software and tools (e.g., SAP, WMS).
In-depth understanding of logistics, inventory management, and retail operations.
