Overhaul and repair of pumps, gear boxes ,blowers and associated other equipment.
Competent in the use of all precision measuring and dynamic balancing equipment.

Work with Workshop Supervisor to ensure accurate and on time completion of equipment repair and completing strip down reports, assembly rebuild records, and test requirements to meet departmental daily/ weekly work schedule.
Assists in overhauls turbines, boilers, pumps, valves, diesel engines, compressors, and other similar mechanical equipment. Includes dismantling, repairing, reassembling, and testing such equipment.
Assist in manufacturing parts for equipment under repair. Including marking, drilling, and machining in the workshop, as necessary.
Responsible for the general housekeeping and cleaning of area of working.
All other duties as assigned.

Has experience of.
Rotor balancing
Remove, repair, installation of mechanical seals!
Installation of wear rings - expansion fit (hot)
Strip down of multi fit stage rotor - int fit with heat.
Shrink fit (cold) installation of wear rings - into casting (liquid nitrogen)
Good communication skills in English language, both verbal and written
Basic mathematics skills.
Basic understanding of pressure testing, machining, valves and welding.
Qualifications
ITI in Mechanical Fitters + NCVT or equivalent or Diploma in a mechanical discipline preferred although not essential.
Minimum 6-8 years previous experience.
Demonstrate advance skills in rotating equipment, such as centrifugal (2 stage and multistage) compressors and pumps.
