Position Overview:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Manager-Air Freight located in Qatar. As the Air Freight Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the sales efforts, expanding the business, increasing revenues, customer accounts, contract terms and to prepare financial measures and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifies and develops new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth in the air freight sector.
- Builds and maintains relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs for air freight sales.
- Manages key client relationships and works to build new ones.
- Expands the profile and reach of the company and its brands.
- Leads sales and client relationship management teams.
- Develops and strengthens internal and external relationships that will lead to increased lead generation and market share.
- Tracks emerging markets and trends & researches and identifies new markets and services
- Proposes and develops strategic partnerships.
- Helps to shape the company’s long-term revenue objectives and determine plans for how to meet them.
- Select prospective vendors and negotiates contracts.
- Fulfils requests for proposals (RFPs) from potential partners and customers.
- Analyses operational and customer performance through direct observation, interpretation of reports and collaboration with others.
- Oversees and assists with new customer onboarding from an operational perspective to ensure launches are successful, reporting any issues internally for prompt resolution.
- Investigates, resolves and/or escalates customer issues, as appropriate
Qualifications:
- At least 5-7 years of proven experience in logistics and courier services, with a solid understanding of the logistics industry, with specific experience in the Qatar market.
- Strong knowledge of air freight services, regulations, and the global logistics market.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good cooperation and team skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Detail oriented and ability to work with tight timeframes and under pressure.
- Ability to navigate and adapt to cultural differences in business
