Senior Electrical Engineer in MEP construction background with a 12- 15 years’ experience in UAE.

1. To lead a project from inception through to the construction and handover phase, including preparing drawings, BIM models, specifications, tendersand construction information, monitoring works in production; and dealing with clients, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers.

2. Oversee a junior Electrical engineer and an Electrical supervisor

3. Advise the project manager of any technical aspects of the Electrical Systems that may affect construction progress, quality and the like.

4. Continually review the Main contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of site works.

5. Prepare and review installation method statements.

6. Review shop drawings against the design [tender] drawings for compliance with the design intent and return them to the project manager with appropriate comments/approval.

7. Responsible for supervising execution of the electrical work within allotted time, productivity, quality and safety standards and in accordance with specifications and drawings.

8. To ensure conveyance of information on drawings to the site Supervisory staff with sufficient clarity to ensure understanding.

9. Ensures controlled material/equipment wastage at site.

10. Responsible for monitoring and analyzing labor attendance and productivity.

11. Prepares look-ahead schedules for electrical works.

12. Assists Project manager in updating progress on site to Planning on a weekly basis.

13. Responsible for coordination and milestones including planning, engineering, construction, commissioning and handover.

14. Problem resolution, in advance of impact on the works and interface with other departments in the Construction Management Team.

15. Able to review and interpret the Electrical specifications along with overall MEP specifications.
