Job Summary The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is integral to our construction projects, leading the design and implementation of mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality, efficiency, and compliance with project requirements. They play a key role in overseeing the mechanical aspects of construction projects, contributing to their successful execution and client satisfaction. Job Description * Lead the development and implementation of mechanical system designs, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and regulatory standards. * Conduct detailed engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to optimize system performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability. * Evaluate equipment selections and materials to ensure they meet project requirements and performance criteria. * Provide technical guidance and support during the construction phase, overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems onsite. * Conduct regular inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and industry standards. * Address and resolve technical issues and design modifications promptly to maintain project schedule and quality standards. * Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into building designs. * Participate actively in interdisciplinary coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts and ensure the overall project design integrity. * Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide updates on mechanical system progress, issues, and resolutions. * Provide regular progress updates and reports to senior management regarding project status, key milestones, technical challenges, and solutions. Education & Qualification Bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering Relevant Experience * Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and engineering for construction projects, with a strong emphasis on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software. * Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. * Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to manage onsite activities, resolve technical issues, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
