A Site Foreman is responsible for the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Core duties include:
Supervising Work Crews: Overseeing laborers and subcontractors, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and resolving on-site issues or disputes.
Scheduling and Planning: Producing daily and general work schedules, allocating resources, and ensuring manpower is adequate for project demands.
Safety and Compliance: Conducting safety briefings, enforcing OSHA guidelines, and ensuring all work complies with local building codes and regulations.
Material and Equipment Management: Coordinating delivery, proper use, and maintenance of construction materials and tools.
Reporting and Communication: Acting as the main point of contact between workers, supervisors, and project managers, providing progress updates, and addressing issues promptly.
Quality Control: Inspecting work performed, identifying deficiencies, and ensuring corrections are made to maintain high standards.
