Job Description:
We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Sponsorship Sales Manager to lead and grow our sponsorship sales function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the sponsorship sales strategy, and delivering revenue through strategic partnerships across events, digital platforms, and brand initiatives. This role requires a mix of leadership, sales expertise, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the sponsorship sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify, target, and secure high-value sponsorship deals across various sectors.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key clients and partners.
- Work closely with internal teams (marketing, production, operations) to design attractive sponsorship packages.
- Lead high-level negotiations and close complex, multi-channel sponsorship deals.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent the company at major industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings.
Reporting and administration:
- Track, measure, and report on sales performance against revenue targets.
- Maintain up-to-date sales pipelines, forecasts, and performance dashboards using CRM systems.
- Ensure all contracts, proposals, and documentation are accurate, timely, and compliant with company policies.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and reporting to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with finance and legal departments for invoicing, payment tracking, and agreement compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in B2B sponsorship or media sales.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to build and execute revenue-generating plans.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office tools.
- Ability to manage multiple high-level relationships and projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel as needed for business development and events.
