· Review contract drawings and specifications for the Specific Project assigned to him by the Engineering Manager.

· Notify the Engineering Manager in case of deviation from the Contract / Offer at any stage of design calculation.

· Prepare the design plan in case design calculating is part of our Contract.

· Delegate work to the Engineers in his section.

· Control the quality of the structure design calculation made in his Section to ensure that the designed elements are acceptable from a technical, economical, safety and time wise point of view.

· Identify problem areas; propose design modification or improvement; and subsequently approve the mechanical design.

· Support manufacturing, and validate and prove the mechanical design by conducting mechanical tests on the product hardware according to the mechanical loading environment.

· Generate analysis reports and create mechanical test plans and reports

· Coordinate technical issues with other departments on projects including constructability requirements and reviews.

· Provide technical direction for specific tasks and assigns work to subordinate engineers and designers.

· Evaluate the function of the structural system and develops, designs, or select the required structures to achieve the function.

· Perform calculations and evaluations in the design of structural systems.

· Participate in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects.

· When required due to a specific structural issue, direct activities to ensure that construction, installation, and testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements.

· Maintain effective communication with project team members and with the customer.

· Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering task.

· Estimate construction cost.

· Prepare design submittals.
