CONTRACT - PermanentThe Offshore Nurse (ON) primary function is patient care at both the primary and emergency medicine level including medical evacuation support to onsite employees and/or local community. Additionally, the ON is responsible for site specific community health and occupational health programs as determined by individual client contracts.At all times, the ON shall carry out their duties within the tenets of the Hippocratic Oath, consistent with ethical and best medical practice..Patient Care• Undertake clinical consultations and provide a high standard of service and care to patients.• Develop a family orientated clinic practice with continuity of care and appropriate follow-up and referral, on both outpatient and inpatient level.• Assist with the implementation of preventative care strategies, including structuring and performing medical screening services. • Manage the delivery of competent and professional health services according to the International SOS standards. • Assist with ensuring appropriate patient triage and flow within the clinic.• Provide leadership for medical related issues to the onsite medical staff.• Provide training and education to onsite medical staff on relevant topics.• Perform rounds in the emergency room and short-term inpatient beds including morning and evening handovers to other medical personnel when required.• Coordinate with the Assistance Centre teams on the procedures required and preparation of patients to facilitate evacuationQuality Assurance and Administration• Liaise with the Medical Services (MS) operations and management to optimise quality assurance and ensure that appropriate medical outcomes are consistently attained with respect to the provision of clinical services. • Take responsibility for quality of medical service delivery as per International SOS guidelines and standards. • Ensure that patient’s medical files and documentation are maintained to highest standards and in accordance with International SOS guidelines.• Assist in the maintenance, selection and control of the medical equipment and supplies available when required
