Job SummaryThe HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring workplace safety and environmental compliance by implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies, programs, and practices in alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards.This role supports the overall HSE strategy by conducting inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.Job Responsibilities:Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.Assist in developing and updating safety policies, manuals, and standard operating procedures.Prepare reports on safety performance, incidents, and near misses.Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a culture of safety awareness.Maintain documentation and records related to inspections, incidents, and HSE audits.Participate in emergency response.Investigate incidents, accidents, and unsafe working conditions, and recommend preventive measures.Ensure that environmental practices align with applicable laws and internal environmental protection guidelines.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve overall safety practices.Support the Safety Supervisor in meeting HSE objectives and reporting requirements.Stay updated with changes in HSE regulations and best practices.

1. Inspection & TestingPerform in-process and final inspection of MV/LV switchgear, control panels, RMUs, and substation assemblies.Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as per IEC/SASO standards and customer specifications.Verify electrical functionality of components: circuit breakers, relays, CTs, PTs, and busbars.2. Documentation & ReportingPrepare inspection reports, test records, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).Maintain traceability of materials and components used in assemblies.Document and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).3. Compliance & Quality StandardsEnsure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.Participate in internal and external audits; support compliance to regulatory and customer requirements.Review engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications before inspections.4. Problem Solving & ImprovementAnalyze quality issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools like 5 Whys or Fishbone Diagram.Recommend and implement quality improvement measures in collaboration with Production and Engineering teams.5. Team CollaborationCoordinate with Production, Engineering, and HSE teams to ensure smooth quality control processes.Provide training or guidance to junior inspectors or production teams on quality practices. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.3–5 years of experience in quality control of MV/LV switchgear, substation panels, or electrical assemblies. Required Skills & Competencies:Strong understanding of IEC/ANSI/SASO electrical standards.Proficiency in using testing instruments (megger, hi-pot, multimeter, etc.).Familiarity with SAP systems and QMS documentation.Strong communication, analytical, and reporting skills.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Other Requirements:Willingness to work on-site in Al-Kharj.Transferable Iqama preferred.Arabic language is a plus but not mandatory.
