Job Purpose

To complete all vehicle body panel work agreed by the insurers and to the standard of the manufacturer, identifying any additional work required. Ensure that work is completed to the highest possible standard, and within agreed timescales to ensure customer satisfaction.

Accountabilities

Vehicle Body Work

1. Complete vehicle body work as agreed by the insurer, coordinate with Supervisor regarding additional customer/insurance approval.

2. Complete any additional work required to the highest standard and in agreed timescales, to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Warranty

3. Identify any work required that is covered by the warranty process, ensure all documentation is complete and coordinate with warranty department.

Operational

4. Maintain workshop housekeeping standards at all times including the use of special and personal tools.

5. Comply with the company’s working practices and procedures; ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.

6. Attend regular staff meetings, using them as a basis for the communication of any ideas for improvement in processes or cost savings.

Personal Development

7. Practice personal continuous improvement by attending any relevant courses, assimilate information provided on new product lines and develop an understanding of the latest technology as it applies to servicing.

8. Arrange an annual appraisal with your line manager in accordance with the company’s appraisal process.
