Perform auto electrical duties under instruction from workshop supervisor by executing planned maintenance to all plant and equipment to the standards required by the Company.
Ensures proper maintenance of low voltage electrical equipment with adherence to safety norms and regulations.
Diagnoses faults on equipment and ascertain cause of defects, determine repair methods and spare part requirements for efficient and permanent repairs.
Traces circuits of defective units, using knowledge of electronic theory and electronic test equipment to locate to the defective component level.
Reads and comprehends technical manuals, schematic diagrams, troubleshooting guides, manufactures’ specifications, warranties and parts catalogues.
Identifies and selects correct spare parts, by visual recognition or from manuals and controls their use.
Proactive monitoring of electronic / electrical equipment.
Resets fault codes and re-programmes transmission control units and other electronic control units.
