Key Responsibilities:

•Safely control and operate the boom lift to move workers, equipment, and materials to elevated work areas.

• Conduct daily safety checks before operating the boom lift. This includes inspecting hydraulic systems, tires, lights, and other safety features.

• Properly position and stabilize the boom lift before use. This may involve setting up outriggers, ensuring the surface is level, and assessing the environment for any hazards.

• Coordinate with ground workers or other team members to ensure safe and efficient operation, often through hand signals or radio communication.

• Ensure that the boom lift is not overloaded by checking the weight capacity and ensuring compliance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.

• Be prepared to handle emergencies, such as mechanical failure or a worker falling from the platform, and follow emergency procedures.
