General Duties

• The coiler shall always use the correct PPE (Overalls, Safety Boots, Earplugs / Ear-Muffs, Gloves, Googles).
• The correct equipment shall be used under his control within the norms of the organisation and with instructions provided to him.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations as required within the organisation.
• Work as a team member to achieve the departmental objectives.
• Report all incidents / accidents /damages and all defective product to the supervisor during or before the end of the shift.
• Be a team player and assist with other functions where necessary or when advised to do so by a superior.
• The coiler shall always adhere to company rules and regulations.

Specific Duties

• Inspect and check equipment every day before shift for safe operation
• Maintain equipment and work area clean and tidy
• Report any abnormalities of the equipment including safety
• Keep the coiler, drum packed and ready for the next coil or for start up
• Check and maintain the coiler, payoff systems
• When the operator and QC are happy to start the coil ensure to start the coiling from 0000
• Coordinate with line operator for end meter and cut specifically on the exact end meter
• Keep 1 Mtr sample from each coil for Quality testing and production entry
• Make sure to paste QR codes before starting each drum
• Once coil is complete, remove the coil and prepack the drum with packing label and move for QC testing
• Remove the scrap and start meter from the line While colour change or line start ups
• Any duties assigned by line operator , Supervisors.
