JOB PURPOSE:

To provide effective maintenance and repair services covering electrical installations within Data Center IT rack rooms (whitespace).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities and modifications on whitespace electrical IT systems/supplies.

• Calibration checking of system sensors.

• Performing statutory maintenance testing and checks within the IT rooms including electrical distribution, redundant power supplies.

• Electrical fault finding and fault diagnosis, functional testing, tripping circuits, MCCB, MCB, lighting and small power. Repair and replacement of electrical circuit components.

• Ensuring good working order and PPM of Electrical lighting and IT power supplies.

• Use of electrical test equipment, multimeters, IR meters, infra red camera etc..

• Commissioning and testing of power supplies upto 100A.

• First Line Response to help desk calls for failure/breakdown of IT rack power supplies.

• Work days to be advised.

• Ensure all works are carried in line with Company Procedures and Policies, Health and Safety, Control of Hazardous materials, in line with COSHH regulations and PPE.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Good analytical skills, fault finding skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.

• Change electrical fittings like for like, power socket, MCB, MCCB, cables etc…

• Knowledge of operation/PPM of LV distribution systems

• Manually lift 25kG weight.

• Ability to read, write and speak in English.

• Proficiency in use of computer - Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
