Roles & Responsibilities
A Showcaller is responsible for coordinating and directing live events, performances, or productions. This role involves meticulous planning, effective communication, and precise execution during the event. Showcallers play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of the show and are responsible for maintaining the overall quality and timing of the performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Schedule Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders team to plan and coordinate the event, ensuring that all technical aspects, cues, and timings are well-prepared.
2. Rehearsals: Conduct and lead rehearsals with performers, crew, and technical staff to ensure everyone understands their cues, timing, and responsibilities.
3. Run Of Show and Cue Sheet Management: Develop and maintain detailed Run Of Show that outline all key actions, cues, and timing requirements for the event.
4. Communication: Establish and maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth performance.
5. Timing and Execution: During the event, call cues and provide direction to ensure that all elements of the production, such as lighting, sound, special effects, and speakers entrances/exits, are executed precisely according to the plan.
6. Problem-Solving: Address unexpected issues or changes in real-time, making quick decisions and adapting the show as necessary to maintain quality and continuity.
